There’s wine,
and then there’s Bardolino.

The Consorzio di tutela del Chiaretto e del Bardolino (Consortium for the Protection of Chiaretto and Bardolino Wines) was among the first wine consortia active in Italy, with regulations dating back to 1968, and is among the oldest wine-producing regions in Italy and the world. The production area stretches to the east and the south-east of Lake Garda, encompassing ecosystems which differ greatly from one another and alternating between Mediterranean, continental and mountain microclimates.
